How do I get rid of a sinus infection?

My boyfriend got me sick!

This cold is terrible, I've been having aches and chills for almost a week now, not to mention a sinus infection. Thankfully, I haven't had a fever.

Does anyone have any tips for relief?

I've been using a water/salt nose spray, taking steamy hot showers and baths, and drinking lots of tea. But I am still so sick!! I have a life to get back to, Help! Lol. SadCrying

Vitamin C, garlic cloves and honey. Not necessarily together. Maybe some fresh ginger. And Netflix.

Haha, while I would love to watch Netflix, I have too many articles to read for uni. πŸ˜“ But I am planning on eating spicy Asian cauliflower and ginger/garlic/turmeric veggie broth soup for dinner. Hope it helps!

Warm food and beverages often make you feel better, whether you are ill or not.

I Swear by Vapour Rub which you can usually buy it from supermarkets or pharmacies. it is a cooling refreshing ointment with a pleasant vapour aroma of menthol and eucalyptus providing the sensation of clear cool breathing.

Staying hydrated is always important, whether you are ill or not! I would say to drink a lot of water, and perhaps some paracetamol or ibuprofen for the aches ?

Olabas can Help with congestion. I always had to take a decongestant with guaifenesin.

Happy creating!

#6 Is the decongestant for your chest mucus or for the nose/head congestion? Is it a spray or a pill? Because I feel like my head is a balloon lol.

#5 I've been drinking lots of tea Laughing out loud Making my boyfriend make it for me since he got me sick.

This is a natural oil blend that is a bit like Vick’s. However, Vick’s is petroleum based and not actually good for you. So Olabas is much better!

#13 a little pot with a spout so you can pour water into one nostril and clean out your nose.

Ah, I've seen but never used those. It goes against common sense to pour water into your nose. What if it doesn't come out? And it can't be enjoyable. Most people probably know what it's like to drink when someone says something funny that makes you breathe out the beverage through your nose. It must be similar to that.

#15 Lol, it comes out the other nostril. But it is definitely uncomfortable, but you get used it.

I have narrow nostrils as it is, so no extra obstacles in my nose. :-)

#13 I just watched this video about how to use one. It looks a little bizarre, but then I see it being quite effective as well.
