There are plenty of reasons why you should walk every day. These are some of my reasons:
Walking gets the blood flowing and makes your heart stronger.
Walking exercises the lungs.
Walking strengthens and exercises your muscles.
Walking helps transport your body from point A to point B.
Walking lets you do other things at the same time. Talking, thinking or listening for instance.
Walking doesn’t require any equipment.
Walking is affordable.
Walking can be a single, couple or group activity.
Walking doesn’t require a shower afterwards.
Walking with walking poles gives your upper body exercise too.
Walking can be done at any pace.
Walking can be done anywhere and anytime.
Walking gives you energy and more the more you do it.
Walking can help you lose weight.
Walking prolongs life.
Walking for excercise has no learning curve.
Walking quickly gives you positive results.
Take all the chances you can to walk during your days. Walk to the bus, or skip the bus entirely. Walk the stairs instead of taking the elevator or escalator. Walk to the grocery store.
If you find walking strenuous you probably need it even more. :-)
