Why public rest places are uncomfortable by design
Not all of them are, but quite a few public sofas, chairs and benches are designed to be uncomfortable. You are not supposed to sit on them for long. And you are absolutely not supposed to lay down on them! Do you know of any comfortable public furniture?

Not that I can think of, I always thought it was to deter homeless people from sleeping on them. I didn’t watch the video so I’m not sure what it says. I hate that in airports they put things in the way so you can’t lay down. It’s horrible when your flight has been delayed for several hours.

No one is supposed to sleep on or use them for longer times. I think it would be better to put comfortable furniture in public spaces. It wouldn’t only invite more unwanted people, but also the rest of us.
