I love this picture! It's really fun and colorful  I've never cut a cake with dental floss but I can imagine it would work smoothly.

Yes, it also makes it easier to cut an even number of identical size pieces. You just slice it through the center of the cake and in the middle of previous cuts until you have as many as you like.
