How to find free photos for your website
Unsplash is a website specialising in free to use, user submitted, photos of high quality. Here is an excerpt of the Unsplash license terms:
More precisely, Unsplash grants you an irrevocable, nonexclusive copyright license to download, copy, modify, distribute, perform, and use photos from Unsplash for free, including for commercial purposes, without permission from or attributing the photographer or Unsplash. This license does not include the right to compile photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar or competing service.

I often use Pixabay but I wouldn't say they are better.
A user pointed out a detail of the Unsplash Terms & Conditions https://unsplash.com/terms worth noting:
Note that the Unsplash License does not include the right to use:
A. Trademarks, logos, or brands that appear in Photos
B. People’s images if they are recognizable in the Photos
So, if you use photos with logos or identifiable people in them, you may want to blur those parts, unless you get permission.

I try and take as many of my own pictures as I can but I don't think they would ever be up to the amazing standard of photography I've seen on Unsplash. Such a good website
